Guiding you on your journey

Our dedicated charity investment team works in long-term partnership with charities, supporting trustees at every stage of their investment journey. We work closely with you to help structure, review, and maintain an effective investment policy aligned with your charity’s objectives, governance requirements, and risk tolerance.

Negative screening and positive engagement

Young group of people around table discussing ideas

Many charities wish to reflect their values within their investments. We support this through a combination of negative screening and positive engagement, tailored to each charity’s investment policy and governance requirements.

Negative screening allows charities to exclude sectors or activities that conflict with their charitable objectives and helps manage reputational risk.

Alongside this, our positive engagement approach draws on the sustainable investing and stewardship expertise available through WTW. This includes engagement with companies on issues such as governance, climate change, and long-term sustainability, in line with recognised stewardship frameworks and the UK Stewardship Code.

Both atomos and WTW are signatories to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI), reinforcing our commitment to responsible, long-term investment outcomes that align financial objectives with charitable values.

Invest with care

We begin by agreeing a clear investment policy tailored to your charity’s objectives. From there, we build and manage a portfolio designed to support income needs, long-term capital growth, or a combination of both.

As a UK-based charity investment manager, we apply a disciplined, global investment approach, drawing on in-house expertise across asset allocation, investment selection, and risk management. Our focus on high-quality investments and the power of compound returns helps safeguard and grow your charity’s assets while ensuring portfolios remain aligned with your values.

Investment philosophy

Our investment philosophy is grounded in the power of compound returns and a disciplined focus on quality. As long-term investors, we seek out high-quality businesses that can generate sustainable profits regardless of the economic environment, helping to safeguard and grow your charity’s capital and income over time.

We have a strong investment culture, underpinned by a clearly defined philosophy and disciplined investment process. When constructing portfolios, we draw on extensive in-house expertise across asset allocation, investment selection, and risk management.

Our approach is global rather than UK-centric, allowing us to identify opportunities across international markets while maintaining diversification and appropriate risk control. Throughout, we ensure portfolios remain aligned with each charity’s investment policy, objectives, and values.
